Some of the most meaningful creative projects begin in unexpected places. This one began on the internet, specifically on Threads, and grew into a classic-inspired love story captured on Super 8 film and beautifully photographed by Brooke Battle.
At the heart of this story is Lili. Not only is she stunning, but she carries herself with a softness and confidence that makes every frame feel intentional. She didn’t just model the story; she embodied it. Watching her move through each scene felt effortless, romantic, and completely natural.

Super 8 slows everything down in the best way. It asks you to be present, intentional, and connected to the moment in front of you. The softness, texture, and emotion that come from film simply cannot be replicated digitally.
This project was never about perfection. It was about feeling. The grain, the light leaks, and the movement worked together to create something nostalgic and deeply human. It felt less like documenting a shoot and more like capturing a memory as it unfolded.
This entire project exists because of connection. I reached out to @brookebattlephotography, whose work I admired. Brooke became the bridge that connected all of us. She photographed the shoot and helped bring together an incredible group of creatives who truly understood the vision.
I mapped out the story from beginning to end. Having a clear narrative made the process exciting while still allowing space for spontaneity and organic moments.

Hair was styled by Alyssa Jones @braidedblondelocks, who created two distinct looks that supported the storyline beautifully. She even drove over three hours one-way to be on set, which says everything about her dedication and talent.
Makeup was done by Grace Healy @beautyandgracee, whose work perfectly complemented the soft, romantic tone of the shoot.
The gown came from @thebridalvaultco and was designed by @martinalianabridal. One of my favorite details was the hem of the train and the way it bubbled, bunched, and laid so perfectly in motion. It is something you really feel when watching it on film.
Florals were designed by Marie @laurel.and.vine, who brought together a thoughtful balance of blues, pinks, and soft yellows. Marie’s energy and creativity added so much warmth and life to the set.
The final touch came from @ferezzi, whose jewelry is inspired by nature and finished in glowing gold. The pieces added just enough elegance while still keeping the look timeless
Jorge Jr Wario @jorge__wario beautifully captured the day as it unfolded and caught behind-the-scenes shots–perfect for social media
Projects like this remind me why I fell in love with storytelling in the first place.
If this story does anything, I hope it inspires you to reach out, create with your friends, and say yes to ideas that feel exciting and fun.
